What is 'Devoted'?

Devoted is our 8th bi-annual retreat hosted by the Toledo Church of Christ geared towards the Singles Ministry.

Who should attend?

Our retreat is open to the singles of all ages. We respectfully request that children do not attend.

What does cabin camping really mean?

Well I'm glad you asked! Each cabin comes 'equipped' with a set of twin bunk beds, a full size bed, two windows, a bench, and one fabulous fan (if the weather demands it)! You also get a small porch, a picnic table, and your very own fire ring too! There will be 3 to 4 people in each cabin, so we advise that you coordinate with 'the others' and decide who's bringing the full size sheet!

There are shower houses so pack up your shampoo, conditioner, body wash, tooth brush, tooth paste, etc... and don't forget your towel!

What should I bring for the weekend?

We recommend you bring the following:

• a lawn/camping chair (you will need this for break-out sessions and the campfire)

• pillow, fitted sheet, blanket and/or top sheet

• medications and personal items

• shower gear, toiletries, etc...

• bug spray, sun screen

• flashlight - make sure to check the batteries!

• extra money (for dinner on Saturday if you choose to venture out on the town, and spending money for Cedar Point, if you plan on attending and we'll have a table of 'vintage' SWAG from many of our previous retreats available)

• bible, notebook, pen, other quiet time paraphernalia, etc...

• encouragement cards - for the speakers, the new friends you make, and the old friends too!

Who are the guest speakers?

We're still working on this and will update our site when we know 

What's on the menu?

Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday will be unlimited pancakes, 1 sausage patty, and milk and/or orange juice, and/or coffee.

Lunch on Saturday will be grilled chicken (breasts and drumsticks), lettuce salad, fruit, chips, and desserts (made by the marrieds especially for you)!

Dinner on Saturday has been designed to give you the opportunity to go on encouragement dates or have small group fellowship time. We will be providing you with several options to head into town and check out Sandusky! Of course you are welcome to stay at the campground and help yourself to the leftovers from lunch, or hot dogs and chips, provided for you. The options are endless, okay not really, but there are lots of options!

S'mores fixins will be provided for the campfire on Friday and Saturday night. We will have your standard Hershey's chocolate, and for you peanut butter lovers we'll have some Reese's as well. Come prepared for 'YUM!!!"

Camp Sandusky!

Camp Sandusky is located at 3518 Tiffin Ave., Sandusky, OH 44870. This is the same place we have held the retreat in every year prior! Please be sure to thank the amazing staff for a great experience!

We have created a cool tradition of sharing our favorite scriptures related to our theme each year.

At 'red: a focus on the red words of Christ' we shared, you guessed it, our favorite Scriptures that Jesus spoke.

At 'green: renew. refresh. repurpose.' we shared Scriptures that help to renew, refresh and repurpose us. 

At 'blue: be cleansed' we shared favorite Scriptures that came to mind on this topic.

At 'TRUE' we shared Scriptures about 'Knowing what is TRUE. Understanding what is TRUE. And, Remaining in what is TRUE.'

This year we would love to hear your favorite scriptures about what comes to mind when you hear 'Devoted.'

What is the cost to attend 'Devoted'?

For $75 you get a whole lot of cool things: A place to lay your head, for one or two nights - you choose what's best for you, lots of retreating opportunities, lessons, meals, homemade cookies, and a cool bag of swag to remember us by!

I really want to come, but I can only make it on Saturday!

We would love to have you join us! We have a 'Saturday only option' that will cost just $45. You get everything for the whole retreat but a place to lay your head! 

I have to work on Friday and Saturday becasue I just can't get off of work (or some ohter reason...) What ever can I do to be part of the weekend?!

You can join us for worship on Sunday morning - Free of charge! 

If you'd like to join up with your friends and hang out for fellowship at Cedar POint on Sunday after service, you can purchase a Cedar Point ticket.

Please register below no matter how you plan to spend the weekend with us, in whole or in part, we appreciate your courtesy!

We are hosting the retreat in the home of Cedar Point, The Roller Coaster Capital of the World!®

We will have a early morning Service on Sunday to allow you the most time to enjoy Cedar Point, if you plan to go.

There is an additional cost for this adventure. Tickets will be $45 - this is a savings of $28 off the at-the-gate price (or $8 off the on-line ticket price if you're the tech savvy type). Tickets are only available until Sunday July 14th for purchase. 

**Note: If you purchase a ticket and then are not able to use it on Sunday, rest assured, because you can use it any other day this season for a $10 surcharge at the gate. (We are not able to issue refunds for the purchase of Cedar Point Tickets)
